I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been practicing in the Mental Health Field for over 12 years. I graduated from Yeshiva University, Wurzweiler School of Social Work in 2009 with a Masters in Social Work (concentration in group work). I have acquired formal training in both outpatient mental health and school settings. I also have experience supervising student interns in the school setting. One of my biggest qualifications that have given me the hands-on experience to assist families is being a mom of a child with special needs.
I love working with children/adolescents across the spectrum of neurodiversity and their families. I truly believe in the proverb, “It takes a village to raise a child” and work to collaborate with all those involved for children and adolescents to learn and grow. In the beginning I focus on building a strong trusting rapport with those families and youth I work with to ensure a lasting trusting relationship.
I utilize an integrative approach incorporating different therapeutic modalities based on the presenting needs of each individual and family. Types of therapies may include Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Play Therapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, and Behavior therapy. Speciality areas include ADHD/ADD, Anxiety, Depression, Social Skills, Emotional, and Behavioral problems.
I live in New York City with my husband, and two children.
